The 5th Annual Scientific Meeting of the VWHA was held at the School of Veterinary Medicine Hannover, Germany, 10-12 May, 2001 and was organised by Prof. Dr. M. Kietzmann of the Institute of Pharmacology, Toxicology and Pharmacy, School of Veterinary Medicine, Hannover.

The meeting, which included invited speakers and free communications, was focused on: · Wound management materials and their use · Skin grafts (human, equine, canine, artificial skin), skin transplantation · Management of difficult wounds · Case studies · Wound dressing materials and their uses (workshop).
