6th Annual Scientific Meeting

The meeting took place in Cardiff, Wales, on 1st and 2nd November 2003, preceded by a buffet and introductory presentation on the evening of 31st October.

The programme dealt with Tumours and Trauma – focus on the distal limb, with invited presentations by Professor Chris Bellenger (soft tissue injury management), Professor Steve Swaim (soft tissue wounds, new approaches), Professor Keith Harding (new developments in wound healing), Dr. Dan Brockman (reconstruction after tumour excision), Dr. Steve Thomas (maggot therapy in animals), Dr. Glen Cousquer (wild animals and birds) and Dr. Sue Murphy (tumour therapy). Professor Terry Turner and Dr. Sarah Cockbill ran a wound healing materials workshop presenting modern materials and their use.
